About Henry
Henry Rivera serves as the Community Programs Coordinator at the District's Community Health & Wellness Center, where he works to connect residents with programs, resources, and educational opportunities that support healthier lives. With a background in public health and seven years of experience as a Health Professions teacher, Henry is passionate about making health information accessible, practical, and empowering for people of all ages.
Before joining the District, Henry spent six years working in public health, including managing COVID-19 outbreak response efforts in local high schools. He believes that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools for improving health and helping communities thrive.
Outside of work, Henry enjoys serving as a Dungeon Master for Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, camping, watching soccer and football, stargazing, and staying active through fitness and martial arts. His goal is to help community members gain the confidence and knowledge they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
