Chair Yoga

This Chair Yoga Program is proudly sponsored by the Fallbrook Regional Health District.
This class focuses on gentle stretches, mindful breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises, all performed while seated or using a chair for support. No prior yoga experience is necessary, making it ideal for beginners and those with physical limitations.

For best results, participants are encouraged to attend all 20 classes

Chair Yoga Enrollment Update
Because this program is very popular and class size is limited, submission of an application does not guarantee placement in the class.
Open Enrollment Dates: June 15th - June 26th
Enrollment will be conducted through an Enrollment Application during our open enrollment period.
Program Eligibility - You must meet at least one of the requirements listed below.
We strive to make Chair Yoga accessible to those who can benefit most from the program. To be considered for enrollment, please meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Have been referred to the program by your physician or healthcare provider.
- Be a urrent participants of the District's Lifestyle Change Program.
- Be new to Chair Yoga and not currently enrolled in another yoga program.
- Meet the Very Low Income guidelines and would not otherwise be able to participate in other District programs. Applicants selecting this option will be asked to self-certify their income eligibility. Income limits can be reviewed here (you can review those limits here).
How to Apply
Interested in joining this session? Please complete the Chair Yoga Enrollment Application. Applications will be reviewed based on program eligibility and available space. Returning participants are welcome to apply and may be enrolled as space allows.
Applicants will receive an email during the week of June 29 notifying them whether they have been enrolled, placed on a waitlist, or not selected for this session. We appreciate your interest and understanding as we work to make this valuable wellness program available to as many community members as possible.
Instructor: Leslie Salmon
Leslie Salmon began her yoga practice in 1998 and began teaching yoga in 2000. She is also a Yoga Therapist, using the tools of yoga as she works with people in partnership to improve health and wellbeing. Her greatest moments while teaching are when someone says, "I didn't know (or remember) I could do that!" She is a wife, mother, grandmother, and lover of dogs, and has lived in Fallbrook since 2011. Leslie is Certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT.org) and by the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga. She is also registered with Yoga Alliance at the Experienced 500-hour level.
