The Community Collaborative for Health & Wellness Committee (CCHW) is comprised of representatives from various healthcare and health related organizations or agencies of the Fallbrook community. It is an ad hoc sub-committee of the District that provides valuable input to the District Board of Directors. The CCHW meets once a month in an informal setting to identify, discuss, gain and/or give information and to initiate or recommend action on matters of concern to the health and well-being of the community.
It began in 2005 and at every meeting they share their programs and lend support to those of other organizations. Additionally, they take information to their clients, patients and programs for application as appropriate to their endeavors. Attendance at every meeting is not required but each member is included in all notifications distributed by FRHD. Notifications range through a broad variety of topics that are of concern in the community. Topics such as: drugs and alcohol, youth programs, legislative action, senior citizens, immunizations and more.
The CCHW members constitute a corps of volunteers that are consistent in their support of FRHD programs through their participation and contribution of their time and talents in addition to their full work-week accountabilities. They are a dependable and resourceful component of FRHD’s service in the community. FRHD applauds and appreciates their commitment and service.
Community Collaborative for Health & Wellness Committee meetings (CCHW) are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Starting in February, the meeting location was moved to the Fallbrook Regional Health District Administrative Office, 138 S. Brandon Rd., Fallbrook CA 92028 due to necessary repairs being made to the Wellness Center at 1636 E. Mission Rd., Fallbrook.
